Chemicals are Endocrine Disrupters

Think about how many chemicals we come in contact with every day.  We touch something at the grocery store and we immediately go for the disinfectant spray or wipes.  We handle cash, open a door, use a public bathroom.  We try to quit smoking and we apply a nicotine patch.  Our hormones are out of balance and we apply a hormone cream.

Our systems can be interupted at any time by chemicals in products we use.  Our skin absorbs everything we put on it and can get stressed.  The first time I was introduced to topical hormones I knew immediately they were working because I felt better...I even loved my husband again!!!  Do your homework at ewg.org to make sure the skincare line you are using is safe.  I use Noevir as it is the #1 herbal based skincare in Japan and also they go through all the testing to make sure the amount of ingredients in each product are safe for the human body.

Massaging with Fingers vs: Machines

I have been reading alot lately about machines that help with cleansing the skin.  One of the comments after using these machines was "my face feels raw!!"  Now why would you want your face to feel raw???  Another person said "Have someone try it on you or buy it from a retailer who has a good retun policy."  Now that does not souund like something I would want to invest my money in.

With the use of our hands and fingers and the right product we can cleanse our skin more than any machine.  A good facial cleanser will clean the skin of makeup and impurities.  A good massage gel will deep clean without stripping the skin of essential moisture.  Nightly massaging soothes away tension as it helps boost circulation for increased elasticity and a healthy, glowing complexion.
With Noevir massage gel and foamy cleanser the comments I get are "My face has never felt so clean."  Another comment I got was "Is this a joke?  My face looks so good!"

I can teach you how to take 3 minutes a day and have your skin look and feel younger and more healthy! OR you can watch this video......  Massaging Video.

Happy Cleansing

Why do we need skin care products?

The skin and its functions are mostly alike for all people, regardless of their gender, age or ethnic background.  The only difference is the quantity of natural moisture each person produces.
Moisture = sebum (oil) and persipiration (water).

As we age, the skin produces less and less sebum and thus, the amount of natural moisturizer decreases as well.  If we do not compensate for this moisture loss with a daily skin care regimen, our skin begins to show signs of premature aging, such as fine lines and wrinkles.  This eventually leads to deeper lines and sagging skin.

I started to notice this imbalance shortly after turning 50. (starting to get double chin)  I always used a skin care regimen but now I realize it was not working very well.  I was introduced to Noevir in the spring of 2011.  I noticed my skin start to glow more within a very short time.  I also was able to do an elasticity test and using a special treatment product my elasticity improved dramatically over a 3 month period.

I am thankful to have found Noevir and respect the companies research and quality standards.  I am all about safety, not only what we eat and drink, but what we put on our skin.

Wish I had known about UVA Rays

I wish I had know about UVA rays when I was younger.

We thought if we did not burn, the sun tan we got would not hurt us.
Little did I know their are "rays" that will age me called UVA!!

Beware of what suncreen you use.  Chemicals like avobenzone and Mexoryl absorb harmfull UVA and UVB rays.  They can pull the heat into the skin and cause damage.

Physical blockers like octinoxate, zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, sit on the surface and reflect damaging rays.  They protect from UVB and UVA rays.

Wear sunscreen under your makeup for extra protection.

No suncreen is waterproof.  No matter what the label says reapply often.

Keep your skin beautiful - Wear your Sunscreen

Why we need to Mask

Masking helps to rid the skin of dead skin cells.

Accumulation of dead cells causes:
      Dull-looking skin
Discoloration and spots seem more apparent
Rough texture makes foundation difficult to apply
Causes skin to be prone to dehydration
Dry hard layers make your moisturizers difficult to absorb.

Masking should be done twice a week.
You can do a quick mask with fine granules to help exfoliate or try a hydrating peel off mask.  Both are effective and your skin will love it.

I can help you find the best to fit your skin type and lifestyle.

Put Your Best Face Forward Safely

The Environmental Working Group (EWG) estimates that the average woman uses at least 12 personal care products every day.  This includes soaps, shampoos, cosmetics and lotions.  1 in 8 of the 82,000 ingredients used in personal care products are carcinogens, pesticides, reproductive toxins or hormone disruptor's.

Beware of claims like 'certified hypoallergenic' meaningless marketing terms like 'clean and simple' and companies that do not list the product ingredients on their website.

Two years ago I was using a product that was advertised as being a natural herbal skin care line.  After several months of use I was having issues and through some blood tests the laboratory told me to look at my skin care line as my progesterone levels were at 9,000!!  (50 was normal for me)

In my search for something new I came across Noevir a Japanese company that does years of testing on every product to make sure that it is not only natural but will not cause health issues.  And the products work!!   Ask me for a trial pack so you can see for yourself how well it works.

Girl Friends are so Important!!

Last night I had a chance to get together with the neighborhood girls.  We all live so close but never get to see each other.  I did not realize how much I miss that time together.

We get so involved in work and our own daily living that when you actually take the time to share and laugh a bit life has so much meaning.

Then today I took the time to stop and visit another friend at her work.  What a delight to share more girl time.

What are your favorite "Girl" times?

Thought about being lazy?

Sometimes I think about being lazy....why is this such a hard thing to do?  We just got back from a cruise and it was so great because we did not have to work.  But I think the best was we were shut off from e-mail, internet and socail media.  I was able to just be lazy!!  I read a book which I had not done in along time.  When I had quiet time I did not think about work at all.  I completely enjoyed my life.  Why is this?  I enjoy staying connected with my friends and family so why does it seem like a burden so much of the time?  Does anyone else feel this?  I will be interested to read your comments.

Ever wish you would have done something when you were younger?

We have all been there...Mom said "you will wish you would have listened to me"

When I was younger I loved to lay out in the sun and just sleep and get a tan.  Of course even 40 plus years ago we knew a little bit about the sun and wearing sun screens.  That was when you could buy an oil with a 4 spf on it!!!  or add iodine to baby oil and lay on a silver towel to tan both sides at once.

Oh yes, I should have listened.  Now in my mid-50's when you look up close you can definitely see the sun damage, freckles on the shoulders, crows feet, etc.  How come it did not bother me until just lately?

I started searching and caring a bit more about my skin through a company in Japan called Noevir.  I now do not go any where outside without my sunscreen on.  A year ago I started using there products and I can see that when they say "look 10 years younger" they mean it.  Products created to be natural to your skins own natural moisture.  The Japanese women are very demanding and Noevir has come through with the best product on the market for anti-aging.
